The current position of the web is the basis. It is captured by one or more sensors as actual position.

Ultrasonic Sensors (US) : The scanning of the web edge is realized contact-lessly by ultrasound.

Optical Sensors (IR) : Non-contact scanning of the web edge is carried out by light.

Digital Sensors (CLS Pro / CCD Pro) : The non-contact scanning of the web material is carried out by detecting optical contrasts.

The BST eltromat CCD CAM 100 sensor is especially suitable for the digital scanning of print lines, print edges, or web edges, and for the web center-line guiding and web width measuring. A CCD CAM 100 can recognize up to eight contrast transitions.
